Dryout Logs

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 22, 2026

Dry Out Logs Inc ("Dry Out Logs," "we," "us," or "our") provides a professional platform for water damage restoration practitioners, including moisture data management, on-site documentation, insurance claim reporting, job scheduling, and related business records. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and mobile application (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices available to you.

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited information from third-party services you choose to connect.

Account and profile information. When you sign up or manage your profile, we may collect your first and last name, email address, password, phone number, company name, business address, company website, license number, company logo, and related account settings. Login uses your email address and password. If you enable "Remember me" on a device, your email and password may be stored locally on that device so you can sign in more quickly.

Customer and job business records. To support your restoration workflow, the Services allow you to enter and store client and job information you choose to submit, such as client names, emails, phone numbers, property addresses, job details, moisture readings, notes, schedules/events, estimates, reports, and uploaded photos or documents.

Photos, files, and device media access. When you take photos or select images/documents from your device, those files are uploaded to our servers so they can be attached to jobs, reports, and other records. Temporary local copies may be created on your device during capture, selection, or upload. Uploaded files remain stored in your account records until you or an authorized company user deletes them, or until the account is closed according to our retention practices.

Payment and subscription information. If you purchase or manage a subscription, billing is processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). We receive subscription status and related billing metadata needed to activate and manage your plan. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Dry Out Logs as full card numbers.

Optional Google Calendar connection. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we receive authorization tokens and calendar-related data needed to sync eligible events. You can disconnect this integration in Settings.

Technical and session information. We process authentication tokens/session data and limited device or app technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Services (for example, to keep you signed in and deliver API responses).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts, and provide access based on your role and company permissions.
  • Operate core product features, including jobs, customers, readings, uploads, reports, estimates, calendar/scheduling, and settings.
  • Process subscriptions, payments, renewals, and account changes.
  • Provide customer support, security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
  • Send service-related communications such as email verification, password reset, and important account notices.
  • Improve and maintain the Services, including fixing bugs and understanding feature usage at an operational level.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content for targeted advertising or build advertising profiles.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide the Services:

  • Within your company account: authorized users in your organization may access business records according to their roles.
  • Service providers: vendors that help us host, store, process payments (for example, Stripe), send email, or provide optional integrations (for example, Google when you connect Calendar). These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security, or integrity of Dry Out Logs, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any third party with whom we share user data in connection with the Services — including service providers, payment processors, optional integrations, and any parent, subsidiary, or related entity that has access to user data — is required to provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy.

Except as described in this Policy, we do not rent or sell personal information to third parties for their marketing.

4. Device Permissions

Depending on your device and the feature you use, the app may request:

  • Camera: to capture on-site water damage or job photos.
  • Photo library / media picker: to select existing images to attach to records. On Android, image selection is designed to use the system picker without broad media-library access permissions.
  • File access / document picker: to select documents for upload.
  • Photo library add (iOS): only when you choose to export or save images to your library.

Permissions are requested in context when you trigger the related action. You can revoke permissions in your device settings; some features may then be unavailable.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Account data, job records, and uploaded files are stored on our backend systems so you can access them across devices. We use industry-standard safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal and business records for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete specific records, close an account, or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify information within a reasonable period, subject to backups and any legally required retention.

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and update: you may review and update profile and business information in the Services according to your permissions.
  • Delete records: authorized users may delete uploaded files and certain records inside the product.
  • Account deletion: you may delete your account or request company closure through in-app Settings, or by contacting us. You may also withdraw consent to data collection by deleting your account, disconnecting optional integrations, and revoking device permissions.
  • Remember me: you can turn off "Remember me" and clear locally saved login credentials by signing in without that option, or by clearing app storage / uninstalling the app.
  • Integrations: you may disconnect Google Calendar in Settings.
  • Permissions: you may revoke camera, photo, or file permissions in device settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise those rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request.

7. Children

The Services are intended for professional business use by adults and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8. International Users

Dry Out Logs is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and may provide notice in the app, on the website, or through other reasonable means. The updated Policy becomes effective when posted, unless a later effective date is stated.
